Muscle Spasms

Muscle spasms are categorised as sudden and involuntary muscle movements or contractions that can be painful to experience and lead to muscle weakness.

Muscle spasms are involuntary twitches, contractions or cramps that can occur in any muscle in the body very suddenly. Pained or injured muscles, overused muscles, and fatigue are identified as their main cause, and those with thyroid or nerve disorders are believed to be at higher risk of experiencing muscle spasms.
