MDR: Misuse of Drugs Regulations, 2001

Under the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001, cannabis-based medicinal products for use in humans (CBMPs) are classed as schedule 2.

In 2001 The Misuse of Drugs Regulations were introduced in the UK to expanded further on the 1971 Misuse of Drugs Act. The MDR determines the circumstances in which it is legal to possess, produce, supply and transport controlled drugs, and legalised the prescription of licensed products by authorised prescribers.
